Chemical peel treatments are popular skin rejuvenation procedures that are used on the face, hands, and neck to rejuvenate and brighten the skin. Chemical peel treatments, also known as acid peel treatments, deeply exfoliate and brighten the skin by using naturally occurring active chemicals and acids. This treatment encourages fresher, smoother, and more radiant skin by promoting new cell growth and collagen production. It is a customizable treatment, making it suitable for all skin types.
Types of Chemical Peels
At Hash Clinics, we offer multiple types of chemical peels.
Light Chemical Peels
Light chemical peels, also known as superficial chemical peels improve skin texture, minimize fine wrinkles, and aid with discoloration by exfoliating the epidermis, the topmost layer of skin, and increasing skin cell turnover. Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) and beta hydroxy acids (BHA) are typically found in light chemical peels. Since the acids are used in small amounts, there is no recuperation period needed for the treatment. Within seven days, patients may develop mild edema and redness. For best outcomes, a course of four to six treatments is usually needed.
Medium Chemical Peels
Medium chemical peels remove dead skin cells, oil accumulation, and debris while promoting the synthesis of collagen. They also penetrate the epidermal and dermal layers. They treat mild to moderate acne scars, skin discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles, and age spots. Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) in varying amounts typically makes up medium chemical peels. Additionally, they might contain glycolic acid or another mixture of chemical solutions. Medium peels result in skin peeling, redness, and swelling, and they can take up to two weeks to recover from, depending on the depth of penetration and peel strength. Patients require one to three treatments for optimal outcomes.
Deep Chemical Peels
Carbolic acid (phenol) is typically used in deep chemical peels to permeate all layers of the skin and significantly alter the skin. Phenol peels have noticeable anti-aging benefits and heal severe atrophic scars. With just one treatment, the results linger for years. On the other hand, recovery could take many months. Because of the severity of the deep peel procedure, skin specialists frequently advise laser resurfacing as an alternative.
Benefits of Chemical Peel Treatments
Here’s why our chemical peel treatments are popular.
Treat Acne
Our chemical peel treatments are known for unclogging pores and removing blackheads from the skin’s surface. It can also lessen skin scarring and help your acne clear up. This is because strong compounds found in the peel’s chemicals will be deposited on your skin. These components will aid in the removal of acne scars from your skin. Usually, we include lactic acid and salicylic acid in the treatment. Specifically, salicylic acid tends to remain in the skin’s pores for a longer period of time. As a result, you can experience a better skin tone and texture.
Boost Your Skincare Routine’s Efficiency
When our chemical peel solution begins to work on your skin, you will notice the gradual elimination of dead skin cells. This will increase your body’s skin cell activity more, producing more skin cells. This will make your skin a lot smoother and softer. And this smoother skin will respond much better to skincare routines and products. Since your skin’s surface will be free of dead skin cells, skin care products will be able to penetrate into the skin and work better, improving your overall appearance.
Manage Melasma
A prevalent type of hyperpigmentation that typically resists therapy is melasma. Hormonal surges are among the factors that can induce it. Fortunately, chemical peel treatments can help control and minimize melasma. Chemical peel treatments are the greatest option to balance the color of your skin if you have dark patches and see an increase in pigmentation issues. Chemical peels will even out the skin tone and fade away discoloration on the skin, improving your appearance.
Minimize Sun Damage
One of the biggest enemies of healthy skin is the sun. Freckles and sunspots are two skin problems that can result from prolonged sun exposure. Additionally, sun exposure can make you appear older by causing fine wrinkles and blotchiness on your skin. However, all of these issues can be resolved with a gentle chemical peel treatment at Hash Clinics. Our chemical peel treatments can target these skin problems and treat them, giving you a fresher and even skin complexion.
Chemical Peel Price in Pakistan
The chemical peel price in Pakistan ranges from Rs. 5000 to Rs, 25000. However, this depends on various factors like the type of peel. You can visit Hash Clinics and consult our dermatologists to find out more information about chemical peel price in Karachi.
Recovery and Aftercare
The recovery time following chemical peel treatment varies depending on the type of chemical peel. Recovery from superficial chemical peels typically takes one week, however, deep chemical peel treatments require several weeks to fully repair the skin.
The usual healing schedule and post-deep chemical peel aftercare are as follows:
Days 1-2: Sunburn-like appearance of treated skin. The treated area should not be exposed to UV radiation or direct sunlight. Wear sunscreen and clothing that protects you from the sun if you must go outside. Additionally, maintain the skin’s moisture and hydration levels. Makeup can only be applied if a superficial chemical peel is applied.
Days 3-5: While deep peel treatments cause widespread skin peeling and redness, light peels cause the skin to begin flaking or peeling off.
Days 6–14: The expected effects become apparent, and the treated skin begins to recover. Those who have deep chemical peel treatments, however, may have to wait longer to see the full healing of their skin. As prescribed by a dermatologist, prescription ointments or lotions may be used during the healing process. After medium and deep chemical peel treatments, antiviral drugs must be taken, and makeup should be avoided for one to two weeks.
Day 14-19: The treated skin will heal completely but must be protected against sun protection.
